Rainfall, an ever-exciting and always welcome sound to my ears, served as the catalyst for Torrent. During an evening spent enjoying time with my family, the summer rains of the Midwest came upon us quickly and with little warning. Having lived away from this for a few years, I was happy to experience the rolling thunder, sporadic lightning, and constantly evolving sound of the falling rain around my family’s home. Alternating between sudden and powerful moments with stretches of quiet contemplation, Torrent seeks to evoke the experiences found with the unpredictable rains of summer.
